Golden Cranes
Sandhill cranes bathe in the warmth of summer in a Colorado wheat field.
Each year in the Yampa Valley of Colorado, the Steamboat and Hayden communities host the Yampa Valley Crane Festival. The festival takes place in September each year and includes crane viewing, nature walks, expert speakers, family activities, and of course great photography opportunities.
